Alcohol, Speed Factors in Fatal Crash That Kills Local Man

Two individuals died in a car crash early Saturday.

UPDATE (12:45 a.m., Jan. 19): New Hampshire State Police have issued a new release to correct the spelling of one of the victims' names.

Colin Ross, 23, of Hampton Falls, was killed in the crash. Police originally identified him as "Colon" Ross.

ORIGINAL STORY (1 p.m., Jan. 18): Two people were killed Saturday in an early morning crash in Seabrook.

Police identified the victims as Colon Ross, 23, of Hampton Falls and Stacy Walsh, 23, of West Newbury, Mass.

Police said Ross was driving a 2002 Honda Accord on Causeway Street at about 4:39 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a parked car, then a utility pole. Police said "unreasonable speed" and alcohol likely contributed to the crash.

Ross and Walsh were pronounced dead at the scene.
