Hampton Man Transferred to NJ in Gun Trafficking Case

Matthew Crisafi, 38, allegedly shipped $11,000 worth of automatic weapons out of N.J., which is where he answer to trafficking charges.

A Hampton man accused of selling semi-automatic weapons overseas to undercover authorities has waived a preliminary hearing in federal court and will now be transferred to New Jersey, which is where he allegedly shipped the weapons, according to the Associated Press.

Matthew Crisafi, 38, was charged with three federal firearms trafficking offenses after police allegedly caught the independent trucking company selling $11,000 worth of semi-automatic handguns and rifles through a secretive black market website called "Black Market Reloaded."

Crisafi allegedly made several claims and promises to police during the conversations through the website, including a claim that "the possibilities are endless once" they "do enough business" with him.

The Associated Press has reported that Crisafi's attorney, public defender Jeffrey Levin, declined comment about the case.
