DNA Connects Indicted Thief to Unsolved Domino's Armed Robbery

A Hampton man facing trial for two Portsmouth incidents was recently connected to a year-old incident in Hampton.

Thanks to DNA evidence found on clothing ditched near the scene, a suspect has finally been charged and arraigned in connection to a year-old armed robbery at the Hampton Domino's, according to the Union Leader.

David Wilson, 28, formerly of Hampton, was arraigned Friday at the Rockingham County House of Corrections for allegedly using a , according to the Union Leader. The Union Leader has reported Wilson allegedly dumped a sweatshirt he was wearing near an auto shop in the area after obtaining a small amount of money from the Lafayette Road pizzeria.

Police were allegedly able to connect Wilson to the incident because DNA found on the sweatshirt matched DNA obtained from a bandana worn during an armed robbery at a , according to the paper. Wilson will soon go to trial on charges connected to that incident and a .

Wilson allegedly used the pellet gun in both Portsmouth incidents, which is one of the ways police connected the incidents. Wilson was recently indicted for the Portsmouth incidents.

Hampton Police announce the arrest of David Wilson age 28 of Brentwood, NH on one count of Armed Robbery. Wilson is charged with committing the Felony Armed Robbery on January 31, 2012 at Domino’s Pizza on Lafayette Rd. in Hampton.

Wilson was arrested on January 31, 2013 exactly one year to the day after police began the investigation. On January 31, 2012 Domino’s Pizza was robbed by a masked gunman who demanded money. Hampton investigators, working with the State Police
Forensic Lab and the Portsmouth Police Department, were able to use forensic evidence to help solve this case.

Wilson was arrested on a warrant at the Rockingham County Jail in Brentwood, NH where he is currently being held on a similar case out of Portsmouth, NH.

Wilson is being held on $20,000 cash or surety bail.
