2 Busted in Hampton Heroin Investigation

The two suspects are also facing child endangerment charges.

Two people are facing drug distribution and child endangerment charges following an investigation into heroin sales in the Hampton area.

Heidi Johnson, 33, of 19 Robin Lane was arrested at her home on Aug. 2 by Hampton Police on a warrant for possession of heroin with intent to distribute. A search warrant was also executed at her home at the time of her arrest. During the search of her home, investigators seized a quantity of drugs, money and electronics from the home. 

On Aug. 5, Johnson was served additional arrest warrants at the Rockingham County Jail, where she was being held. The new charges are endangering the welfare of a child and a second count of possession of controlled drugs with intent to distribute. 

Hampton Police said Johnson and the 19 Robin Lane address have been the focus of an ongoing investigation by Hampton detectives into the sale of heroin in Hampton. 

One additional arrest was made after the search warrant was executed on the Robin Lane address.

Jonathan Peters, 28, who also resides at 19 Robin Lane, was arrested on a warrant for two counts of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. 

Both Johnson and Peters are being held at the Rockingham County Jail on $2,500 bail. Assisting in this investigation were members of the Greenland, Police Department.
