The call was reported as a possible water rescue around 8:30 p.m. Monday, although a member of the Hampton Fire Department said the U.S. Coast Guard requested HFD's assistance with a boat that had run aground on the sandbar in that area. No one was hurt, and no one needed rescuing from the water.
