Candidate Field Finalized for Town, School Elections

Hampton's town and all three school districts' election filing windows are now closed.

As expected, the Hampton Board of Selectmen race will be a heavily contest election come March, as several candidates for that position as well as for a variety of other Hampton town, and Hampton, North Hampton and Winnacunnet school positions up for grabs.

The filing period closed at 5 p.m. Friday, and the following is a list of the individuals who turned in paperwork before the deadline, sorted by entity and position:

HAMPTON TOWN ELECTIONS

  • Hampton Board of Selectmen (two for three-year terms): Jerry Znoj, who is running for reelection; Philip Bean, of Bean Insurance; Dustin Marzinzik, a Hampton Budget Committee member; Ben Moore, a former selectman; and Mary-Louise Woolsey, a former selectman and current budget committee vice chairwoman.
  • Hampton Budget Committee (four for three-year terms): Richard Reniere, Pat Collins, Brian Lapham and Michael Plouffe, all of whom are running for reelection; and Joe Grzybowski.
  • Hampton Budget Committee (one for a one-year term): Diandra Sanphy; and Vic DeMarco, who currently serves on the Winnacunnet Budget Committee.
  • Hampton Planning Board (two for three-year terms): Mark Olson and Tracy Emerick, both of whom are running for reelection; and Art Moody, a former selectman.
  • Hampton Zoning Board (two for three-year terms): Current Chairman Bill O'Brien and Robert "Vic" Lessard, both of whom are running for reelection. 
  • Tax collector (one for a three-year term): Donna Bennett, who is running for reelection. 
  • Moderator (one for a two-year term): Bob Casassa, who is running for reelection.
  • Supervisor of the checklist (one for a six-year term): Barbara Renaud, who is running for reelection.
  • Trustee of the trust funds (two for three-year terms): John Sovich and Norman Silberdick, both of whom are running for reelection.
  • Library trustee (two for three-year terms): Sunny Kravitz, who is running for reelection; Richard Laskey Jr., who served this year as an alternative trustee; and Mark Hughes.
  • Cemetery trustee (one for a three-year term): Thomas Harrington, who is running for reelection.

HAMPTON SCHOOL ELECTIONS

  • Hampton School Board (two for three-year terms): Rosemary Lamers and Charlotte "Peppa" Ring, both of whom are running for reelection; , a former board member and current state representative; and Patricia Valcich.
  • Clerk (one for a three-year term): Tammy Deland, who is running for reelection; and Jane Cypher-Marzinzik, who is currently the Hampton town clerk and Winnacunnet School District clerk.

 

WINNACUNNET SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS

  • Hampton representative, Winnacunnet School Board (one for a three-year term): Denyse Richter, who is running for reelection; and Leslie Russell Lafond.
  • At-large member, Winnacunnet School Board (one for a three-year term): , of Hampton; Robert Copp, a North Hampton resident and current North Hampton School Board member; and Venus Merrill, of Hampton Falls.
  • Hampton representative, Winnacunnet Budget Committee (one for a three-year term): Fred Caesar, the current chairman, who is running for reelection.
  • North Hampton representative, Winnacunnet Budget Committee (one for a one-year term): No candidates filed for this seat.
  • At-large member, Winnacunnet Budget Committee (one for a three-year term): Chris Singleton, of Hampton, a former member of the Hampton and Winnacunnet school boards; and Albert "Max" Abramson, of Seabrook.
  • Moderator (one for a one-year term): Robert Cushing, who is running for reelection.

 

NORTH HAMPTON SCHOOL DISTRICT ELECTIONS

  • North Hampton School Board (two for three-year terms): Robert Copp and David Sarazen, both of whom are running for reelection; and Tamara Le.
  • Moderator (one for a three-year term): Bill Boesch, who is running for reelection.
  • Clerk (one for a three-year term): Sue Buchanan, who is running for reelection.
  • Treasurer (one for a three-year term): Kathy Brown, who is running for reelection.
