It says Around Town but the headline is UTAH. Utah is not near Natick!! I think everyone should notRead More open an article on Patch unless they see their town's name in the headline. So If it doesn't say Natick, then we all know it is not LOCAL to the Natick Patch. The less clicks these Patch sites get, the fewer advertisers they will get and then perhaps they will realize if we want sensational news from across the country we'd go back to Patch's former owners AOL and the HuffPost! Those here from other Patch sites - I think you should do the same only click on articles that mention your community's name. No name. No click!

They get stuck in the latch position, they do not unlatch.

Snow March 25, 2014 at 12:08 pm
Little snow, light snow. I am trying to behave. I miss the Keene pumpkin festival, and the Old ManRead More on the Mountain, and fishing on Loon Lake. Though, the mosquitoes- a thousand per square inch? Not so much. And a snapping turtle in that lake, if he is still there, owes me a fishing pole.

pretty soon the black flies will be buzzing around your head while you run around and repair allRead More the damage winter has brought. you will swat a few mosquitoes, eat a few hamburgers, pressure wash the mold off everything and before you can catch your breath that first leaf will fall and around we go but we love southern new hampshire.

I agree with you BH. Veterinarians are making a killing! They are sales people first, and careRead More givers second... They know that pet owners will go to any length to to provide for their animals that can't tell them what's going on... Vet charges have quadrupled in the last 40 years! My quick research shows that dogs aren't living any longer now than 40 years ago. That being said, I'm still gonna keep my gorgeous 7 year old Golden Retriever, Cleopatra....

We have a toy push button phone out to play with at the shop, and I'm always wondering how long itRead More will be before kids no longer recognize a corded device as a "phone".

My husband and I run the local CrossFit here in Winchester (Mountain Strength CrossFit). We have hadRead More the honor of working with a few expecting mothers. Not only did they continue to workout for almost their entire pregnancy, they had healthy babies and returned to the gym as soon as they were able. As long as you are honest with your abilities, keep an open conversation with both you doctor and your trainer, I see no reason to stop.

I am currently about halfway through my pregnancy and work out at Crossfit Bridgewater, where I'veRead More been a member for about 2 yrs. My workouts have decreased in number, have been modified, and are one of the few things that get me through the nausea. I also use a heart rate monitor to stay within a safe zone. The thing to realize is that Crossfiters generally know their bodies well and listen to them, and we have some of the healthiest children around because of the value we put on staying active, strong, and eating real food. It's ok if it's not your thing, but don't judge me :)
Leila Samara February 28, 2014 at 08:27 am
I've been a Crossfitter for over 2 years now and am now into my 7th month of pregnancy. Going toRead More the gym has kept me healthy and strong and is preparing me for the ultimate workout that any woman can go through. Crossfit workouts can easily be modified to accommodate stretching ligaments and growing bellies and as long as one uses common sense and listens to their body (as Jana said) I think it's imperative to stay fit (whatever your exercise of choice may be) throughout pregnancy.

How many people lost power last night around 9:30 or so? Why wasn't it reported by the Patch?
Sandra Dombrowski February 19, 2014 at 09:48 pm
We lost power Tuesday around 5:30p.m. It didn't come back on until 11:00 p.m. According to theRead More automated PSNH message, at least three towns were without power Tuesday evening. Nothing about it online, in the papers, or on TV. It would be nice to know what caused the outage.

Aging equipment is the prime reason for Power Outages.
