Holiday Parades Galore This Weekend

Portsmouth, Hampton and Exeter to hold annual holiday parades on Saturday and "A Christmas Story" continues at The Rep.

The holiday season is well underway here on the Seacoast and there are several holiday parades taking place for those who want to get into the spirit.


1. Hampton Christmas Parade: The town's annual holiday parade will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The theme for this year's parade is "Vintage Hampton Christmas Parade," which celebrates the Seacoast's history and an era gone by in honor of Hampton's 375th anniversary this year.

Portsmouth Holiday Parade: The annual Portsmouth Holiday Parade and Christmas tree lighting will take place on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. The theme will be a "Celebration of Lights" in honor of the new Memorial Bridge.

3. Exeter Holiday Parade:
The town's annual holiday parade will be held Saturday at 5;30 p.m. as part of Exeter's four day "Ring in the Season" celebration that will also feature the Festival of Trees at Exeter Town Hall on Thursday at 12 noon

4. See Leahy Family Christmas: The Music Hall will present a "Leahy Family Christmas" this Saturday where Celtic and traditional Christmas music will be performed on stage. There are two shows at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

5. "A Christmas Story" at the Rep: The Seacoast Repertory Theatre's production of "A Christmas Story" continues its holiday run this weekend with performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
