Warriors Overcome 14-Point Deficit, Stun Nashua North

A fourth quarter touchdown run sealed the comeback and a 2-0 start for the defending champs.

Winnacunnet High School stormed back against the Nashua North High School Titans Friday night, overcoming an early two-touchdown hole to win 20-17 in an interconference matchup.

The defending Division II champions were in a hole early after a 90-yard interception return by the Titans' Demitri Jackson, according to the Nashua Telegraph. The Warriors (2-0) trailed the Division I opponent by scores of 14-0 and 17-7, but strong defensive play and an offense lead by quarterback Ing Hao Veasna, who had 240 total passing yards and a game-winning 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, helped swing the game in Winnacunnet's favor, according to the Telegraph.

WHS won its season opener 23-22 over Bishop Guertin, and will next play at archrival Exeter, also a Division I opponent, on Saturday, Sept. 21.
