The Rim Sports Complex, Hampton's new state-of-the-art sports facility, has been tabbed as the venue for the 2014 New Hampshire Boys Basketball State Tournament.

The complex, which features five indoor basketball/volleyball courts, will host the state's annual Amateur Athletic Union tournament for 4th to 12th grade students from May 16 through May 18 next year.

The Rim opened in September at 311 Winnacunnet Road next to Seacoast United. The 36,000-square-foot indoor sports and training complex is the brainchild of co-owners Tom Viviano and Peter Maher. The Rim has been off to a bustling start after overcoming reservations that initially threatened to prevent the structure from being built in Hampton.
