School District Seeking Community Input Thursday

The Hampton School District is sponsoring two informational sessions concerning the 2014-15 School Calendar for the SAU 90 schools. The sessions will provide an opportunity for parents, guardians, and interested citizens to share their ideas on the development of school calendars for Centre School, Marston School, and Hampton Academy.  

The first session will be held on Thursday, November 7th at 6:30 pm in the school cafeteria at Hampton Academy. A second presentation will be given on Friday, November 8th at 8:30 am in the cafeteria annex at the Marston School. The school district is seeking input on various aspects of the calendar such as: the start date for the beginning of school, vacation schedules throughout the year, how to respond to snow days, and making up those missed days. The school principals along with other school officials will facilitate the discussion and answer questions on the topic.  

The Hampton School Board is seeking input from the community before finalizing and approving the 2014-15 school district calendar. The goal of the school board is to have an approved calendar by the end of December.
