Fire Engine Slides Off Road, Trooper Injured in Crash

State police are warning of slippery conditions and drivers are being urged to use caution.

Multiple accidents were reported on Hampton area roads on Thursday morning due to the snowy roads and freezing temperatures.

Around 8:20 a.m., a truck reportedly overturned on Route 101 east in the area of Interstate 95. Less than an hour later, a crash was reported on I-95 north in North Hampton. A fire engine responding to that crash tipped over, trapping the driver inside.

Then around 10:20 a.m., a tractor trailer rollover was reported on I-95 north in Greenland. Shortly after that, an accident was reported on I-95 south at the Hampton tolls.

A New Hampshire State Police trooper was also injured when his cruiser was struck on I-95 north later Thursday morning.

According to the Union Leader, Sgt. Michael McQuade was parked in his cruiser at the scene of an accident when another accident happened and one of the vehicles involved hit his cruiser. McQuade suffered only minor injuries.
