Route 1 Interchange Accident Followed by DWI Arrest

A Hampton woman was hit with two charges after she was involved in what police called "reckless conduct" at the Route 1-Route 101 interchange.

The following entries are excerpts from arrest and call logs supplied by the Hampton Police Department. The information does not indicate a conviction.



FRIDAY, NOV. 29

  • 9:30 p.m.: A 17 year old was charged with possession of a controlled drug and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop near the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Q Street.
  • 10:35 p.m.: Joshua Charles Maguire, 25, who has no fixed address, was arrested on a warrant.
SATURDAY, NOV. 30
  • 12:43 a.m.: Wendell Eason, 51, of Hampton, was placed into protective custody after a disorderly conduct incident at Wally's Pub.
  • 12:53 a.m.: Iain LeClere, 26, of Hampton, was placed into protective custody.
  • 3:53 a.m.: Theft investigated at an Island Path apartment.
  • 5:04 p.m.: Jeffrey J. Wright, 51, of Hampton, was charged with driving after revocation or suspension and operating with a suspended registration following a traffic stop near the intersection of Ashworth and Bragg avenues.
  • 8:26 p.m.: Marissa M. Oliver, 30, of Fitchburg, Mass., was arrested on two bench warrants following an assault at Hampton Village Resort.
SUNDAY, DEC. 1
  • 7:38 a.m.: Police investigated an accident at the Route 1-Route 101 interchange.
  • 7:43 a.m.: Police investigated an accident at the Route 95 offramp toll plaza.
  • 10:16 a.m.: Burglary investigated at 20 Birch Road.
  • 5:58 p.m.: Elaina M. Lamprey, 45, of Hampton, was charged with driving or operating under the influence (subsequent offense) and driving after revocation or suspension following a reckless conduct incident at the Route 1-Route 101 interchange.
  • 11:06 p.m.: Burglary investigated on Seaview Avenue.
