Man Guilty in Sledgehammer Murder

Bartoloni pleaded guilty in the second-degree murder in Hampton last October.

Peter Bartoloni has pleaded guilty in the second-degree murder of his roommate in their Hampton apartment last year, WMUR reports.

The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said Bartoloni, 70, used a sledgehammer to bash in his roommate's head.

Attorney General Joseph Foster, NH State Police Col. Robert Quinn, and Hampton Police Chief James B. Sullivan announced Oct. 7, 2013 that Bartoloni was arrested and charged with the second-degree murder of Robert Roderick, 56, on Oct. 3.
