Hampton Police Bust Trio in Armed Robbery at Hotel

Police say a local man used a handgun to assault and threaten two people while an associate stole money and drugs March 12 in Hampton.

Hampton police announced April 4 the arrest of three people in connection with an armed robbery at a local motel last month.

Police identified the three as Ariel Feliciano, 21, of Perkins Avenue in Hampton; Lauren Herrington, 18, of Brentwood; and Matthew Fauvel, 19, of Perkins Avenue in Hampton.

Feliciano is accused of using a handgun to assault and threaten two people while Herrington is accused of stealing money and drugs, according to police.

Feliciano is charged with robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threatening. Herrington is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery. Fauvel is charged with criminal liability for the conduct of another in connection with the events transpiring on March 12, as he allegedly was the driver to and from the scene. The charges are Class A felonies.

Police investigating the robbery executed a search warrant March 26 at 7 Perkins Ave., Unit 3, and police said they recovered a distribution quantity of controlled drugs and an AR-15 assault rifle. 

The search resulted in two more arrests at the home. James Wojtowicz, 28, was charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled drugs, while Andrew Barrett, 33, was charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to distribute, according to Hampton police. Both men listed the Perkins Avenue unit as their address.
