Burglary Suspect Charged with Intimidating Witness
A local woman recently charged in connection to a burglary in the area has been brought into custody again, this time for threatening at least one witness in the case against her.
Jennifer M. Griffin, 24, was charged at 12 a.m. on Dec. 3 on a warrant for an intimidation count of tampering with witnesses and informants.
Griffin was considered a "wanted person" when she was charged with burglary on Nov. 28.
Hampton Police Lt. Dan Gidley said he could confirm the charges against Griffin, although he said he couldn't release any additional details about either charge because the case is currently sealed.
Griffin is scheduled for arraignment in Hampton District Court on both the burglary charge and the witness tampering charge at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
