OBITUARY: Henry 'Hank' Dougherty, Husband of Town Employee

North Hampton – Henry A. “Hank” Dougherty, 64, of North Hampton, died suddenly on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Mr. Dougherty was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 11, 1948, a son of Michael Dougherty and the late Margaret (Denvir) Dougherty.

Hank is survived by his wife of over 42 years, Georgia (Dewhirst) Dougherty of North Hampton, his sons, Aaron Dougherty and his wife Jennifer of Lincroft, NJ and Matthew Dougherty and his wife Alexis of Fairfield, CT, his daughter Abigail Dougherty of Aspen, CO, and his five grandchildren, Ella, Cole, Madeline, James and Nicholas Dougherty. He also leaves his father, Michael Dougherty and his wife Laura of Ocean City, NJ, his mother-in-law Joanne Dewhirst of Groveland, MA, his sisters-in-law, Elen Smith and her husband John of Haverhill, MA and Mari Beth Dole and her husband James of Groveland, MA, several nieces and nephews and many close friends and associates.

Visiting hours will be from 10 – 12 noon on Friday, April 12, 2013 in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Rd., Hampton.
