Loved Ones to Celebrate Life of Chris Poulin, Crash Victim

Poulin, 28, was an athletic musician and had many passions, but family members say he was "happiest being Uncle Chris."

Christopher "Chris" L. Poulin, 28, died October 27, 2013 in Exeter, NH from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born August 12, 1985 in Berlin, VT., son of Gary L. Poulin and Wanda Cochran. Chris grew up in Hyde Park, VT. He was a graduate of the Lamoille Union High School in Hyde Park, and was very active in sports, music and acting there. Chris also attended the Seminole Community College.

He currently was employed as a first skew coordinator at Cole Haan distribution in Greenland, NH. Because of his passion for music, Chris played bass guitar in several bands through the years, including Parttime Heroes and Stimulus Package.

Still being very athletic, Chris was heavily involved in several flag football leagues in Dover, NH, Nashua, NH and York, ME. He was an avid NY Giants fan and NASCAR racing fan with his favorite driver being Tony Stewart.

Also, he greatly enjoyed hiking and traveling. Chris was proud to have visited, Florida, Texas, Maine, and Tennessee.

Most of all, Chris was happiest being Uncle Chris. He was recently predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Melvin Cochran. He is survived by his father, Gary L. Poulin of Morrisville, VT., mother and her partner, Wanda Cochran and John Carr of Cambridge, VT., brother and his partner, Adam Poulin and Chandra Noyes of Exeter, NH, a nephew, Tucker Poulin of Exeter, NH, sister and her partner, Heather McFarlane and Jason Prosser of Eden, VT., maternal grandmother, Alberta Cochran of Eden, VT., and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Rockingham Ballroom, 22 Ash Swamp Rd., Newmarket, NH. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Second Congregational Church of Hyde Park, 26 Prospect St., Hyde Park, VT. with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Dover Spring Flag Football League, and send checks mailed out to Cory Sprague, 92 Portland Ave., Dover, NH 03820.
