Halloween Fun with Hampton Rec

Halloween is around the corner, so Hampton Parks and Recreation is once again teaming up with Experience Hampton to host their annual Spirit Night event on Wednesday, October 30 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Gazebo, located downtown in Marelli Square on Lafayette Road.

Everyone is invited to bring a carved Jack o’ Lantern to add to the festivities, and there will be a magician and live band entertainment for all to enjoy free of charge. Children can also enjoy working on a Halloween craft at Marelli’s Market, while local restaurants will be serving some delicious treats.

In addition, Hampton Recreation and the Lane Memorial Library invite children in grades K-6 to take part in this year’s “Monster U” Trick or Treat parade through the library and the town hall on Thursday, October 31 from 4-5 p.m.

Participants are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes and prepare to make some fun stops at both destinations. The parade steps off from the old town hall municipal parking lot at 4 p.m.; participants should plan on meeting there a few minutes early.
