When Is Trick or Treat in Hampton, North Hampton?

Here's a roundup of 2013 trick or treat times and other Halloween information for communities in the area.

Costume season is underway and the shelves at local grocery stores are fully decked out with Halloween displays and treats, which means trick or treat is just around the corner for Seacoast towns.

Wondering when you'll have a chance to take you and your kids out in costume? Here are some of the area's official trick or treat times, as released by the municipalities themselves:

  • HAMPTON: Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
  • NORTH HAMPTON: Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m.
  • SEABROOK: Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
  • HAMPTON FALLS: Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m.
  • EXETER: Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m.
  • PORTSMOUTH: Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Authorities ask that parents review and practice personal safety while trick or treating. Many of these communities are holding trick or treat after sunset, which means darkness may make it difficult for drivers to see children and adults, especially if they're wearing dark costumes.

What are you doing for Halloween? Are you going to one of the many events in the area? What is your costume this year? Please tell us in the comments below!
