'Tis the Season for Reading

Local teachers are collecting books for students within SAU 90 and SAU 21 as part of the annual Season's Readings book drive.

Submitted by the Seacoast Education Association

The Seacoast Education Association is holding a holiday book drive, Season's Readings, to benefit the children in our communities. The goal of Season's Readings is to collect enough books to give each kindergartener in SAU 90 and SAU 21 a book for the holidays.

"We thought there was no better gift for the children of our district than the gift of reading," said SEA president Andy Gushee.

SEA will be collecting new or gently used books from now until Dec. 13.  Those wishing to help bring the gift of reading to our children can drop off books at any of the schools within SAU 90 or SAU 21 or can contact Andy Gushee at 926-3395 to arrange a pickup.

The books should be suitable for readers from 4 to 7 years old. Picture books, easy readers, and chapter books are welcomed.
