Eatery Helping Hampton Firefighter Who Lost Home in Fire
Four individuals were hospitalized due to smoke inhalation after heavy fire destroyed Hampton Fire Capt. David Mattson's home.
Tonight's "Community Mondays" benefit night at The Community Oven in Hampton will help the family of Hampton Fire Capt. David Mattson recover from an early-morning fire that destroyed their Josephine Drive home in August.
Dine-in and take-out proceeds will benefit the Capt. Mattson Relief Fund, as will money raised by raffles and other activities Monday at The Community Oven, which described tonight's "Community Mondays" event as "very important."
"Enjoy a great meal, raffle prizes, and lots of Oven fun while helping us support a great neighborhood cause!" wrote The Community Oven on its Facebook page.
