What Hampton Eateries Are in Restaurant Week 2013?

Local restaurants are participating in the statewide event, which is one of numerous things happening this weekend.

Looking for something fun to do on the Seacoast this weekend? Here are some ideas (and be sure to tell us about the things you did and show us the pictures you took by e-mailing Editor Kyle Stucker at Kyle.Stucker@Patch.com):

1. Enjoy the Start of Restaurant Week: Numerous Hampton and North Hampton businesses are participating in the second annual Restaurant Week in New Hampshire, which starts Friday and runs through May 24.

2. Take Part in a Weekend Full of History: From Town Hall Day to a concert and special event to benefit Centennial Hall and the Hampton Community Chorale's 375th anniversary-focused spring concert, there are plenty of family-friend events that tie into the Seacoast's past.

Also happening this weekend is a fun historic walking tour of downtown. From tour guide Karen Raynes:

The Tuck Museum in Hampton will sponsor the first of this years walking tours on Saturday May 18th a 1 pm. Betty Moore and Karen Raynes will guide you down memory lane talking about the past and present business community in Hampton.

We will tour seven businesses; look into corners and walk creaky floors of buildings that remain vibrant after 113 years. We will hear about some lingering ghosts, find out who bought what in the general store and check out a still busy tavern.

Meet in the High Street parking lot at 1 pm. Reservations are requested by calling the Tuck Museum at 603-929-0781. A $10.00 per person fee insures future walks with a brochure of the walk included.

This year, 2013 is the 375th anniversary of the town of Hampton. The walk is a great way to know your town.

3. Fly a Kite and Help Locals Fighting Cancer: Dozens and dozens of kites will fly high above Hampton Beach on Sunday as part of the fifth annual, "Beyond the Rainbow"-benefitting Exeter Hospital event "Kites Against Cancer."

4. Buy Some Goodies for a Good Cause: The Hampton Garden Club's annual plant and bake sale, featuring a silent auction for rain barrels painted by Hampton Academy eighth graders, is Saturday morning.

Also, the Glen Hill neighborhood's annual Neighborhood Yard Sale will also be held on Saturday.

5. Take In a Popular Beach Event: The Hampton Beach Tow Show returns this weekend.

Also, the University of New Hampshire's commencement ceremonies are among a number of other weekend events.

What else is going on? You tell us! There are plenty of other events, but we want to know what you're going to do. Tell us in the comments!
