Photo of the Day

There's so much to love in today's featured photo, taken at the beach by Chris Georgia.
Here's how Chris described the shot:


There I am. Standing at the end of the jetty in what appears to be close to pitch black with the exception of the slight ambient light of orange glowing from Hampton, New Hampshire. I cannot see the waves crashing in front of me but sure can feel the cold ocean water splashing on me as I try to hold completely still for this 30s exposure. I get a bit of an adrenaline rush as the waves crash louder and louder not knowing if I'll end up soaking wet in the freezing cold weather. I'm not worried though. As I stare out into oblivion, I look above at Sirius shining bright in the sky and think to myself, how insignificant this little speck of land I stand upon is to the rest of the universe. How insignificant I am to the little speck of land I stand upon.
