Hampton Woman a Maxim 'Hometown Hottie' Finalist

A "quirky," adventure-seeking local woman "trying to make a difference" is a finalist in a national men's magazine modeling contest.

While modeling skimpy lingerie and bathing suits in videos and pictures online for men's magazine Maxim, Hampton Beach native Persephanie Lesperance goes beyond the typical model stereotypes to explain why she should be voted as Maxim's "Hometown Hottie."

Lesperance, 23, a 5-foot, 8-inch "model-actress," according to her profile on the contest's website, is one of 10 finalists in the annual contest, and emphasizes there's more to her than just her looks while asking for readers' votes.

"I have a wicked soft spot for charities, whether I'm help raising [sic] the money or donating it out of pocket, I love to help out in any way I can," says Lesperance in a video on the profile. "I think I'd make the perfect Maxim small-town 'hottie' because I’m a true small town girl just trying to make a difference."

Lesperance does play up several men's fantasies in her profile as well as in one of the videos posted to her page. The page also includes numerous revealing photos, as well as a couple of her in a Ultimate Fighting Championship octagon — including one of her clenching a fist while pinning a male counterpart to the mat with her knee.

It's in the second video, though, where Lesperance — who describes herself as a "fun," "quirky," and "outgoing" woman who loves "a nice long walk on the beach, no matter the season" — let's her personality shine through while wearing regular clothing during an interview with Maxim producers.

"I love to travel," she said. "I love meeting new people and experiencing their cultures — it just keeps me grounded. Basically, I'm the kind of buddy you want to travel with.

"I’m a born and raised New Hampshire girl, never afraid to take chances, make mistakes and get a little messy. I love to be active, hike, bike, ski, and, of course, fishing — you've got to if you're from New Hampshire."

The voting period has already closed for Maxim's Hometown Hottie contest, and the winning model hasn't yet been announced. Maxim's website states the winner receives a photo spread in the men’s magazine, as well as opportunities to model with Maxim and host company events.
