Celebrate Volunteerism with the New England Patriots and TASC!

TASC (Transportation Assistance for Seacoast Citizens) is delighted to have earned a spot on the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation web page during Senior Advocacy week (December 22-28), part of its ongoing Celebrate Volunteerism initiative.  Each week during the 2013 season the Foundation has been raising awareness of the need for volunteering and inspiring New Englanders to become lifelong volunteers by highlighting different volunteer needs and opportunities throughout New England.

Lack of public transportation options in the Seacoast NH region is a serious problem for anyone who no longer drives.  Getting to a doctor’s appointment or the grocery store is a real challenge often resulting in missed appointments and empty refrigerators.  TASC’s dedicated corps of volunteer drivers provide hundreds of rides each and every month, making life a little easier for countless Seacoast seniors.
