Marelli's Market Book launch
Over 100 friends from the Hampton community came to celebrate at Marelli's Market the launching of the book, Marelli's Market: The First 100 Years in Hampton, New Hampshire, 1914-2014. Authors, Marcia Hannon-Buber & Karen Raynes, granddaughters of the original owners Celestina & Luigi Marelli, wrote the book with their friend, editor, publisher and cover designer Cheryl Lassiter.

Senator Nancy Stiles presented a proclamation from the New Hampshire Senate recognizing Marelli's Markets'100 years of service to the community of Hampton.

Hampton Selectman Phil Bean also read a proclamation from the town of Hampton that celebrates the 100th anniversary of  Marelli's  Market and the 375th anniversary of the town.

Friends and family of Marelli's mingled, ate Italian treats and drank Italian wine telling stories and sharing impressions from the 100 years.

One local who was greatly missed at the party was Vic Lessard a good friend and regular who passed the evening before.

The book was sold out at the launch but more are ordered and will be available in the store.  The book may also be purchased at Amazon.com.
