"Roadwork Roundup" is a weekly Monday feature that gives you information about road construction.
You may run into brief traffic delays this week while driving near a section of Mill Road between Winnacunnet Road and High Street. Crews have been working to overhaul the sidewalk along that stretch of Mill Road for the past three weeks as part of a $9,000 project. The sidewalk between between Winnacunnet Road and High Street will still be unusable, which means there may be pedestrians walking on the shoulder of this Hampton road.  Deputy Public Works Director Chris Jacobs has also said to be mindful of the fact that workers, at times, may have to block one of the travel lanes.  Jacobs said…
Crews continue on the Mill Road sidewalk overhaul this week, so be mindful of the fact that there could be some traffic delays or pedestrians walking on the shoulder of this Hampton road. The sidewalk between between Winnacunnet Road and High Street will still be unusable, and Deputy Public Works Director Chris Jacobs has said workers, at times, may have to block one of the travel lanes.  Jacobs said "most of the time" workers won't be in the right of way, though, and crews will use flaggers to allow vehicles to pass down Mill Road rather than detour vehicles around the area.

Monday marks the beginning of the Mill Road sidewalk overhaul in Hampton.
