Jim Splaine, Of the 8 Million supposedly "NEWLY INSURED " individuals of ObamaCare, howRead More many have actually paid their premiums??? Of these 8 million how many are from the targeted groups for healthcare, as in young adults that will be helping to pay the premiums for the older generation that have medical issues??? If Barry's administration can't provide these numbers then HOW CAN THEY CLAIM OBAMACARE IS A SUCCESS??? >>>> Prior to Kathleen Seblius leaving her post she said the Premiums for ObamaCare would be increasing due to the FACT that most of the 8 Million "NEW SUBSCRIBERS" were elderly and sick and would qualify for the majority of subsidies, which would drive up the costs to others. So AGAIN. How is this a Victory for Barry and his minions, as Barry had promised that his plan would save citizens, on average $2,500.00 per year. His other promise which turned out to be the LIE OF THE CENTURY was that if you Liked your Doctor and Healthcare Plan You Can KEEP THEM!!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Also Jim how is a deductible of over $7,000.00 per year AFFORDABLE???

You cannot spell "liberals" without the letters "LIARS".

If OBAMACARE is so Great then why is it that all the Politicians that voted for it weren't the FIRSTRead More ONES to sign up for it ???? WHY Aren't Kuster, Shaheen and Shea Porter MANDATED to sign up for this TRAIN WRECK!!!!

In December 2004, Stratham's Doug Scamman was elected New Hampshire Speaker of the House with theRead More support of Democrats and Republicans.

What are the rules on voting an inanimate object as Speaker? Cause that's a sure fire way toRead More preserve what freedom we have remaining in this state and a sure fire way to continue keeping what little of our paychecks we are still allowed to keep.
Stephen D. Clark April 23, 2014 at 07:13 pm
David, that's interesting to learn. I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the low-down. I tend toRead More suspect, though, that the nationalization of party politics is making such a scenario less likely these days, even in New Hampshire.
Stephen D. Clark April 23, 2014 at 05:29 pm
Harken ye unto the pot calling the kettle black.Read More ________________________________________________________ You can say whatever you want. No one will take seriously the opinion of someone who won't be responsible for it, and there is no repercussion to you personally for outrageousness. Liberating, isn't it?

Blah, blah, blah. Just another lowly liberal making mouth noises.

@Danielle, the audible only works good on your smartphone or an MP3 player. You can use it at theRead More gym when reading may not be as convenient (try rowing while reading -- listening works). Or go for a walk outdoors while listening to a book... just be careful crossing streets. I believe there are pronunciations issues with the text-to-speech as it tries to simulate speech instead of being an actual recording like the audio books. Each has it's advantages.
Christine Hunnefeld April 23, 2014 at 07:30 pm
@Danielle, thank you for pointing out that ebooks are available from the library. Here is the linkRead More to the digital media catalog for libraries in the Minuteman Library Network http://digital.minlib.net They have bestsellers, classics, how-to, etc. As well as downloadable audiobooks which you can listen to on your phone, mp3 player, etc.
Tim H April 23, 2014 at 10:48 pm
OverDrive Media Console (http://omc.overdrive.com/) is an app you can install on most popularRead More devices that will assist you with downloading eBooks and audiobooks from your library. I happen to be part of the Minuteman Library Network, so I know it works there. I'm sure other libraries outside the network work with OverDrive as well. Thanks @Danielle for starting this post!

she courted the tea party patriots in New Hampshire before she was elected, but I think everyoneRead More drowns in the powerful two party swamp that is Washington, DC when they get there. I don't how we change that. I think that fiscal constraints on congress would help curb their power. I think that a simple tax code that everyone pays with no deductions for anyone would curb that power. I think that demanding that congress take a pay cut to the national average wage and pay for their own benefits would curb that power. can't live in DC on the national average wage? too bad.

Elizabeth Warren's insistence that she is not running for President, while pushing her autobiographyRead More on national TV, means that Elizabeth Warren is running for President.

For the record, Magic Johnson contracted HIV (not AIDS) through sex with a reported 10,000 differentRead More women. Do you actually believe you can only contract HIV though gay sex??? Christie, your comments are so ridiculously ignorant, that I’m almost willing to believe that you are putting us all on. I almost believe that there’s some poster who created this character of an extremely ignorant bible-thumping woman, and he is right now having a great laugh at how he’s put one over on us all. If that’s the case, then my hat’s off to you!
christie nicolle April 23, 2014 at 11:48 am
wait Hookerman - out of those 10,000 chicks, 1 of them slept with a homosexual -- frankly I heard heRead More was on the 'low down' but either way, his promiscuity got him. So my point is Salient! The bible warns that the wages of sin is death -- what more do you want? HAPPY EASTER!
ChristieD April 23, 2014 at 06:50 pm
Hookerman; thank you very much for differentiating me from ChristieN. I very much appreciate that.Read More Let me remind you, however, ChristieN's status as a "Christian" has endowed her knowledge on every possible situation where something is unknown. God must speak to her in some special way in those voices that she hears in her head (.....ChristieN; this is god, and I want you to spread the gospel of good news that Magic Johnson had gay sex and is going to hell........and by the way, judgment is a sin; WAIT, cut that one out....erase erase erase)

I agree the fine should be high, but who''s going to catch the litterers? Another 5 or 10 well-paidRead More police officers? How about a camera to invade law-abiding citizens' right to not be watched? 'Unfortunately, the world - or is it just Massachusetts? - is full of ignorant people to whom trash cans are invisible and graffiiti is an expression of their higher purpose in life. I hope the state removes the graffiti as soon as possible. When I'm on the beach I pick up trash.
Old Pizza April 20, 2014 at 09:56 am
Joe - I agree with you 100%. We need tougher laws and stricter penalties across the board. SlapsRead More on the wrists just don't work. I like Singapore too, especially their drug laws. Most users and deals are executed. They don't have a drug problem - or a crime problem. It's the safest place on the planet. The litter problem can be solved just as the drug problem can - make the penalties stiff enough to act as a real deterrent, not just a simple inconvenience

I would like to see the cameras at that end of the beach and maybe the Beach Plum would like to fundRead More that being the good business for N.Ham he claims to be.

Definitely will add these to my long, long list of "to reads". Maybe I'll live longRead More enough to get to them all. Just finished an oldie but goodie ... but you know? The stories only stay with me for a while, I read so much that I forget what I've already read and after the first few pages, I get into it again and often continue since I liked it the first time around. There will never be enough hours in any day to read all I want to and thank goodness and God for Goodreads and, of course, my library and you, Danielle, for adding to my lists. Was offered a Kindle but know what? I really prefer to hold that book in my lap to read, plus I prefer to use my library ... it's FREE, for goodness sake, why would I pay to read anything but a newspaper? And, even that can be gotten at the library. If nothing else, I just love the smell of a library! (Sorry for my longwinded-ness ... just love, love books.)
Mamie Huggins April 20, 2014 at 08:37 am
Hey Anna - I'm a book lover too and use the library on occasion. But it's not FREE as you say, it'sRead More paid for by us taxpayers. Also, when I buy a book, especially by an unknown and/or local author, I'm helping that person to keep writing.
Anna Bucciarelli April 20, 2014 at 05:48 pm
Of course you're right Mamie but if I don't have to part with an additional penny from my pocket IRead More feel it's a treat. And you're right too about keeping authors writing I especially like books by new, first-time novelists who often surprise me with the wonder of their words.
