UPDATE: WHS Student 'Critical,' Wasn't Killed In Accident

A Seabrook teen was struck by a vehicle Thursday.

UPDATE, 12:49 A.M.: According to a friend of the family, Matt Denis, of Seabrook, is still alive and in "very critical condition" after he was hit by a vehicle Thursday.

Melissa Ajemian said in an e-mail she was at the hospital with Denis, a Winnacunnet High School student, and his family. Ajemian declined further comment about the matter out of respect to the family.

Earlier reports had indicated that Denis passed away in a Boston hospital Thursday evening after he was taken off life support, but that news was incorrect.

Further details are limited about the accident and police couldn't initially be reached for comment due to a fatal police shooting in Greenland that occurred around the same time.

8:23pm 04/13/12 Matt Jr is still on life support awaiting the neurological teams survey and results. No improvements. Still no responses and still on life support. Yes, a miracle would be nice right now. A. Denis, Matt's uncle.
