Driver Charged with DWI After Car Strikes Home

Three people were injured in the accident on Sunday.

UPDATE, WEDNESDAY, 4:30 P.M.: The driver who crashed his car into an Ocean Boulevard home on Sunday has been charged with drunken driving, according to Seacoastonline.

Hampton Police Lt. Dan Gidley told the newspaper that Christopher Swift has been charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated in connection with the accident.

Three people were taken to the hospital for "serious" injuries after the car in which they were riding struck an Ocean Boulevard home early Sunday, according to a WMUR report.

Police told the television station that Christopher Swift, 23, was driving south on Ocean Boulevard in Hampton around 4:20 a.m. Sunday when the vehicle crashed into a home at 853 Ocean Blvd. Police said they believe alcohol and drugs may have been a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation. There were four people in the vehicle, and according to WMUR, three were transported to the hospital. The home sustained only minor damage.
