Ron Paul, Hillary Clinton Get Write-in Votes

Rick Santorum, Dick Cheney and Ross Perot also received support in Hampton.

Barack Obama and Mitt Romney weren't the only ones receiving votes in the Nov. 6 presidential election. As always, there were a fair share of write-in votes as well.

In Hampton, former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul led the way with 14 write-in votes for president. He was followed by Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and John F. Sullivan with two votes apiece.

Others receiving write-in votes for president included Hillary Clinton, Dick Cheney, Rick Santorum, Ralph Nader, Ross Perot, Mike Huckabee, and former Primus bassist/vocalist Les Claypool.

In North Hampton, Ron Paul received two write-in votes, as did Stein.

In the governor's race, Gov. John Lynch, who did not seek re-election, received four write-in votes in Hampton. In the Executive Council race, WWE wrestler Jon Cena received a vote, and Olympic snowboarder Scott Lago of Hampton Falls received one vote for Rockingham County Register of Probate.
