Hampton School Board Chairwoman Peppa Ring thanks departing Chairwoman Rosemary Lamers, who lost her reelection bid in March, for her service to Hampton schools.

Rosemary Lamers was at the forefront of many initiatives, policies, events and major decisions that had drastic influence on Hampton's students, one of the largest of which was the decision to separate from School Administrative Unit 21 to form a new district before this start of this school year.

Lamers, the former Hampton School Board chairwoman, lost her bid for reelection in March, bringing at least a temporary end to her public office serving the students, staff and community members of School Administrative Unit 90.

The board recently thanked Lamers for her leadership and the countless hours she devoted to her time on the board. The above video showcases some of that public ceremony, which included a proclamation from Peppa Ring, the new board chairwoman, and a short statement by Lamers.
