L.L. Bean Celebrating 100th Year with New Store in N. Hampton
The popular New England outdoor equipment and apparel chain has job ads out for a fall opening.
L.L. Bean, a 100-year-old company known for stores and catalogs packed with gear and advice for outdoors ethusiasts, will open an outlet store in North Hampton's Lafayette Crossing plaza "early this fall," according to numerous help wanted ads posted on various Internet job sites.
The company, founded in Maine in 1912 by Leon L. Bean, has yet to annouce the new store on its official website. L.L. Bean has 32 total stores and outlets in Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
The New Hampshire locations include a retail store in West Lebanon and outlet stores in Concord, Manchester, Nashua and North Conway.
Among the advertised open positions for the new North Hampton outlet store, which will be located at 35 Lafayette Road, are store manager, assistant store manager, stock lead and sales lead, among others.
A message has been left with L.L. Bean's public affairs team.
UPDATE: Company officials say the outlet will open in September.
