Hampton Beach Named One of Nation's Best
The beach was listed in the top six in a recent Weather Channel article.
Hampton Beach has been named one of the "Top 6" beaches in the country, according to a poll of Weather.com readers.
This is the first time in the four years The Weather Channel and Weather.com have been doing the survey that a New Hampshire beach has cracked the list. Among the things people liked most about Hampton Beach were the lively beach scene, the free concerts, the fireworks shows and the annual sandcastle contest.
Other beaches that made the "Top 6 Favorite Beaches" list included Laguna Beach in California; Myrtle Beach in South Carolina; Sanibel Island, Florida; Ocean City, Maryland; and Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan.
