Big Changes, Shows in Store for Ballroom

The Casino will have new video screens, seating and acts in 2012.

The Casino Ballroom is proud to announce a number of updates for the 2012 concert season, the most notable being the all new “Gold Section” theater style seating.

“We recently finished an extensive customer research study in conjunction with the University of New Hampshire and Sean Tracey Associates,” says Andrew Herrick, Director of Sales and Marketing at the Casino Ballroom.  “Through the study, we learned a lot about what the live entertainment consumer expects.  Our goal is to marry that information with our current offerings to remain one of New England’s leading live entertainment venues.  We have set in motion a three-year plan that will provide concert-goers with a host of enhancements.”

In addition to theater style seating, 2012 updates include side-stage video screens, reduced Ticketmaster fees and an interactive website.  Artists will enjoy new dressing rooms and all employees will partake in a customer service training program to coincide with the overhaul of the brand’s look and feel.  Herrick says, “We’re excited about the changes, especially the new seating.  About half our shows each year are seated (the Artist determines how a show is set up); the decision to upgrade was a direct result of the research study.  We’d like to thank the community members who participated!”

The Casino Ballroom has also announced nine new shows.  Comedians Jim Gaffigan, Lisa Lampanelli and Wanda Sykes mark the first comedy additions to the 2012 concert series.  Country mega-stars Darius Rucker and LeAnn Rimes will both perform this year, as well as rockers Cinderella, who are celebrating 25 years in the business. Dweezil Zappa will return to host an evening of his father Frank’s compositions, and the legendary voice of Supertramp, Roger Hodgson, will make his Ballroom debut.  Details and ticket information are available below.

Herrick anticipates an exciting 2012 concert season at the beach, stating “it’s not your father’s ballroom!”

The following eight shows go on sale Friday March 9th at 10am.  They will be announced to the public Monday March 5th at 10am.
