Bicyclist Transported to Hospital After Ocean Blvd. Crash

An "older" man was transported after an accident near 81 Ocean Blvd. in Hampton, according to officials.

A man suffered "minor injuries" during a bicycle accident Friday morning that originally came through as a car versus pedestrian crash on Hampton Beach, according to Capt. Justin Cutting.

Cutting said the man, whose identity wasn't released but was described as an "older" man, wasn't struck by a vehicle and was the only individual involved in the accident.

Cutting said the bicyclist caused the accident shortly after 10 a.m. near 81 Ocean Blvd. Emergency communications indicated around 10:19 a.m. that it was a car versus pedestrian accident, and Cutting said that erroneous report may have come through because the bicyclist "may have struck a parked vehicle when he fell."
