Holiday Shores Evacuated Due to Overnight Fire

No one was hurt during the 615 Ocean Blvd. fire around 12:30 a.m.

UPDATE, 11:22 A.M.: Roughly a dozen units at Holiday Shores Condominiums in Hampton had to be evacuated early Wednesday due to a working fire that started in a crawlspace under one of the buildings.

WMUR has reported five of the units have suffered smoke damage during the fire, and one resident has e-mail Patch to say that no one was hurt.

"a lot of damage under and in units 5 and 6," wrote the resident in the e-mail. "Scary thing but we have the best in Hampton."

ORIGINAL STORY: Firefighters responded to a working fire on Ocean Boulevard in Hampton early this morning.

The fire was first reported under the crawl space of a condo complex at 615 Ocean Boulevard (Route 1A) around 12:30 a.m., according to emergency radio broadcasts. The fire did reach first alarm, but was reportedly contained to its area of origin.
